The Kierland Pop Art Festival is held at the Kierland Commons each fall, but I am not sure what will happen during the social distancing and quarantine that we have today. It was a fun weekend of watching artists performing their crafts, live music, food, and of course wine.
A bunch of local artists set up a mini studio on the sidewalk and created their craft. It was interesting to watch them paint and interact with them by asking questions. There was also an artist that created a chalk painting on the sidewalk.
Local vendors lined the streets of Kierland Commons to promote fine arts and fine crafts. They had paintings, sculptures, jewelry, food, metalworks, and pottery. Everything you need and probably things you don’t need.
Guests that are 21 years or older can purchase wine tasting tickets and sample the fine wines. The wine tasting included more than 30 Arizona wineries from more than 200 wines. This event was a huge celebration of Arizona wines.
Kierland Commons is near the Scottsdale Airport on Scottsdale Road south of the 101. It includes shopping, dining, office space, and condominiums.
I am sure they will have it again. When we finally get on the other side of this situation, we can again enjoy the Arizona wines and fine art.
